Date Made:1/20/2007 [Outcome will be known by 1/21/2007]
Prediction:The New Orleans Saints will beat the Chicago Bears in the NFC Championship game (2006-2007 season).
Prediction Description:Novacek says "Players to watch: Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush will be key the Saints Ė the Bears need to be concerned with both players and where they are. For Chicago, Rex Grossman is the guy to watch. The times the Bears have been successful, Grossman has hit big plays downfield. When he struggles, with bad timing with his receivers or turnovers, Chicago is in trouble. Pick: Saints, 31-17."
Outcome:Wrong

Prediction:The Indianapolis Colts will beat the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game (2006-2007 season).
Prediction Description:Novacek says "Players to watch: Watch the entire Colts defense. If they can continue to play like they have in the last two, they will be successful. They need to fly to the ball, stuff the run and play with toughness. For the Patriots, Laurence Maroney and Corey Dillon must deliver, especially Maroney. Pick: Colts, 24-21."
Outcome:Right
#3:   Entered by alex (135) on 1/6/2007  »  Reference URL
Date Made:1/5/2007 [Outcome will be known by 1/7/2007]
Prediction:The Indianapolis Colts will beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the 2007 NFL Playoffs (2006-2007 season).
Prediction Description:Jay says "The Colts defense has struggled to stop the run all season, but I expect them to play better. Itís time for the intensity to be cranked up, and Indy will do that. The Colts have the benefit of being playoff veterans. They have been here before, and they know how to raise their game. The Chiefs will pound Larry Johnson, both to wear out the Colts and keep that high-powered offense off the field. The first set of downs in each series will be important, because Indy will need to force some three-and-outs to keep its defense rested. If they can do that, they will be successful."
Outcome:Right

Prediction:The Seattle Seahawks will beat the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the 2007 NFL Playoffs (2006-2007 season).
Prediction Description:Jay says "Although Terry Glenn hasnít made the acrobatic catches in traffic, the Cowboys need to go to him more. For the Seahawks, their defensive backs need to shut down the Cowboys receivers and keep them from running good routes."
Outcome:Right

Prediction:The New England Patriots will beat the new York Jets in the first round of the 2007 NFL Playoffs (2006-2007 season).
Prediction Description:Jay says "The Jets have a real chance to be the lone road team to win in the wild-card weekend. They have been playing very well, and it hasnít been just one player making plays. The Jets are playing well as a team. They havenít played the best opponents, but the defense is keeping teams from scoring right now. They arenít doing any one thing well, but theyíre making plays. The Patriots, however, are a sleeper team. They are running the ball extremely well, and that gives Tom Brady more options and more time to throw. New Englandís defense can play so smart, so expect them to frustrate New York."
Outcome:Right
#6:   Entered by alex (135) on 1/6/2007  »  Reference URL
Date Made:1/5/2007 [Outcome will be known by 1/7/2006]
Prediction:The Philadelphia Eagles will beat the New York Giants in the first round of the 2007 NFL Playoffs (2006-2007 season).
Prediction Description:Jay says "Based on the way teams are playing right now, the Eagles are a more complete, focused team. But both teams are such roller-coaster squads, so donít be surprised if the Giants suddenly come together. I have been impressed at how the Eagles have played, especially on offense. They spread the ball out to running backs and receivers, and theyíre getting everyone involved. They let Jeff Garcia do the things he does best. Defensively, the Eagles come at you hard. I donít know if Eli Manning has been reading defenses very well this season, and heíll need to do that against the blitzing Philadelphia defense. Iím sure the Eagles will be smart with their blitz packages."
Outcome:Right
