|Prediction:||There is not the slightest indication that nuclear energy will ever be obtainable. It would mean that the atom would have to be shattered at will.|
|Outcome Description:||Einstein later wrote letters to President Roosevelt, informing him of the possibility of making nuclear bombs. He warned Roosevelt that there were indications that Germany was working on a nuclear weapon, and suggested that America start its own nuclear project. Of course, the atom bomb was then used during World War II against the Japanese.|
